"Howdy Cowboy"

Oh did we love doing this 2nd birthday party, and Gail was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Our colour scheme was Browns, Red and Blues.

We did a mini healthy (well we tried to be healthy) Candy Buffet which included some fruit, cheeses peanut brittle and popcorn along with all the other sweets treats..

Our stunning Juice Dispensors that are to hire from www.missimagpie.co.za for R100.00 were filled with Apple and Cranberry Juice..

We added our Cowboy themed partyware for that extra flair which tied the whole party together        

Each child received a stunning Pony to take home and they were a huge hit!!

The decor matched their stunning home, we hung our Missimagpie Pom Garland (R300.00 for 10) on their varandah to make an impact for when guests arrived..

We used our range of cowboy partyware for all the candy buffet Labelling

Hello Hello...

We know its been a while since we last updated our blog, we apologize, we have been so busy with the launch of our new website, sourcing new and exciting products and getting our 'Missimagpie' brand into boutiques across the country that we just havent had the time but we do now!

So here we go...

A tiffany blue affair...

We recently did a a bridal shower High Tea.

The theme was white and tiffany blue with shades of greens

It was a sweltering hot day, so to quench the guests thirsts they arrived to freshly made mint and cucumber juice..

We added some lacey Chinese lanterns mixed in with some green and white pom-poms to go with the beautiful flower arrangements.

  All our food was freshly made, we had ciabatta breads, cheese sticks and a selection of cakes and Chicken, basil and tomato Panini's and Beef, Rocket and cranberry Panini's, fruit skewers meringues and brownies

All the tags and thought cards were made by Missimagpie

The favors were Vanilla and caramel cupacakes and home-made peanut butter biscuits to take home.

All the guests were asked to wear shades of green and white which added a special touch to the

day!

Little Nate's 1st bithday

Little Nathans 1st birthday party was such a fun party to organize.

The Theme was an Owl themed brunch that was set under a large Oak Tree.

We strung up mini vintage bunting and created a woodlands area feel.

The colours we used were mainly blue's brown's and burnt oranges.

We made little owl party packs and sweet hand-made owlets for the favors

We are proud to be associated with Jackie from 'Cupcake love' who made Nate's delicious cake!

The eats were well fitted for the theme with freshly sweezed lemonade that was finished in no time!

Scones, Quiches and savory muffins all freshly baked the morning of the party!

Happy 2011 everyone..

what a wonderful start to the new year.

We exploded into the new year with bubbles,sparklers and surrounded by happy floating poms and lanterns.

We are so excited for this year as we will be launching many new and exciting products and maybe, just maybe a 'sister business'.

Missi Magpie Gives Back!

We hosted and WON the best dressed table, for a charity against Child Trafficking. It was a worthy cause and was thrilled to be involved.

The Archie theme reminded me of happy times from my childhood, when you were thrilled to have the smell of a new comic book, ready to be swapped with your friends after reading, while sipping on a chocolate milkshake.... those were the days!

Guests got into the retro theme, and wore their “Jughead Crowns” with whimsy, while enjoying a breakfast picnic with a diner feel. 

 

 

Nathan's Christening

This whimsical Christening was hosted in a French style venue in the middle of a Nursery, which was perfect for this soft “little boy blue” theme. Simple details were used. We love the rich coco cake with the sweetest farm animals climbing their way up. 

The sweet scent of freshly picked fynbos filled the room. Freshly baked Quiche...delectable! See the rest of the nest for the whole story.
